Leslie Clay and Tim Caron were married at 4:30 in the afternoon just before sunset at the Olowalu Plantation House on the west side of Maui. They choose the location for it's old Hawaii feeling and casual elegant ambiance. They were joined by 50 friends and family members who flew to Maui to celebrate the marriage. The bar opened as guests arrived serving refreshingly cold pina coladas, mai tais and tropical drinks. A Hawaiian duo played through the nuptials and continued as Leslie and Tim received congratulations after the ceremony. Appetizer were passed by waiters as the couple was photographed. The four course sit down dinner with wine and champagne was served just after sunset. A jazz quartet played during the dinner hour and then the DJ took over for dancing. Everybody danced!

Leslie chose green and white as her color theme preferring ethereal elements throughout the decor. We used lots of grasses and ivy as well as cymbidium orchids, white roses, stephanotis, bells of Ireland and other tropical white flowers. Leslie had a unique bouquet of multi strand white orchids trailing to the floor. We decorated the tent by draping the poles and upper edges with tulle, under the tulle and on the ceiling of the tent we wrapped tiny white lights. Round white paper lanterns were hung inside the tent for lighting.

Leslie and Tim chose a journalistic/portrait a la carte package from John Henry Studios. There were 3 photographers present capturing all the details of the wedding day as well as John Henrys signature wedding portraits. Both color and black and white film were shot. The first photographer arrived at 3:00 PM to photograph Leslie getting ready and continued through the wedding and reception, leaving after the dancing began. We have included a small selection of the photographs.
